Majesty Perkins, Student Service Manager

Majesty Perkins is an educational leader and licensed social worker with over a decade of experience transforming urban schools into equitable, supportive, and student-centered learning environments. He currently serves as Student Services Manager for New York City Public Schools District 9, where he partners with school communities to strengthen student support systems, improve school climate, and implement restorative, data-informed practices that drive meaningful student success.

Prior to this role, Majesty served as Assistant Principal at the High School for Contemporary Arts in the Bronx, where he provided comprehensive oversight of school culture, special education, the English department, operations, and academic intervention systems serving more than 300 students. His strategic implementation of restorative practices, targeted behavioral supports, and rigorous supervision systems resulted in a 23% reduction in suspensions.

Majesty also worked as a school social worker, delivering clinical case management services, leading trauma-informed professional development for staff, and designing attendance and behavioral intervention systems to support the most vulnerable student populations. This foundation in direct service deeply informs his leadership philosophy. One that is rooted in relationships, systems thinking, and an unwavering commitment to equity.

Majesty holds a Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University, a Bachelor's degree from Lehman College of the City University of New York, and advanced leadership certifications in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership.

Driven by the belief that strong systems, meaningful relationships, and equity-centered leadership are the cornerstones of thriving school communities, Majesty's work consistently bridges the gap between policy and practice. As he often says, "Supporting the whole child means recognizing that academic success, emotional well-being, and community support are inseparable."
