CEC 9 President
Maribel Gonzalez – CEC 9 President
My name is Maribel Gonzalez, and I have proudly served as a parent leader for over nine years, including seven years as a member of Community Education Council District 9 (CEC 9).
I am deeply committed to advocating for our district and ensuring that every child receives the support and opportunities they deserve. My journey began at my son’s school, where I became actively involved to ensure he, as a child on the autism spectrum, received his services and was treated with fairness and dignity. That experience motivated me to broaden my advocacy to include all students, especially those with disabilities, reinforcing my strong belief that no child should ever be left behind.
As CEC 9 President, I remain dedicated to amplifying the voices of parents who often feel unheard, working tirelessly to secure the resources and programs our children need to thrive. Together with Superintendent Sherman and his team, I am committed to advancing meaningful progress and driving positive change for the students and families of District 9.
Sincerely,Maribel Gonzalez
President, CEC 9
