District 9 Team Member Spotlight

Jermain D. Dickerson, Sr., District 9 Member

Jermaine Dickerson was born and raised in Buffalo NY with his two younger twin sisters. He is a husband and father to 2 beautiful boys with 1 on the way. Currently, in his 13th year in education, he began his career in Philadelphia PA, where he was a special education and math teacher for 2 years before moving to NYC. Jermaine began his NYC teaching career in District 9 at The Eagle Academy for Young Men. During his career, he has held numerous leadership roles, as both a teacher and now as an administrator for the last 2 years. He received his leadership degree from Bank Street College of education and is presently working on his Doctorate at Fordham University. A fun fact about Jermaine is that he has studied and competed in Martial Arts since the age of 8, has trained in boxing and MMA, and currently still trains and competes in Brazilian Jujitsu.
