District 9 Team Member Spotlight

Irinia Soto-Finnerty, Academic Policy Lead

Irina has been with the NYC Department of Education for 20+ years.

During this time, she has served as an Elementary School Teacher (K-5), Literacy Coach, ELL Coordinator, and Assistant Principal.

For the past 8 years, she's been an Education Administrator, supporting schools as an Academic Policy, Performance, and Assessment Lead (APPA).

Fun fact: Her career began at P.S. 132. 10+ years later, she is back at P.S. 132, as a member of the District 9 family. Her career has gone full circle, and landed her right back to where it all began.
