Chakil Craig, Intensive Reading Interventionist

With over 17 years of experience, Chakil Craig is a passionate and dedicated educator committed to empowering students through reading and writing. Born and raised in the Bronx, she began her career as a teacher and literacy coach, and much of her professional journey has been centered in District 9. She has helped countless students improve their literacy skills, providing targeted support and fostering a love for reading. As a Universal Literacy Coach and Interventionist, her expertise spans curriculum development, personalized intervention strategies, and collaborative teaching methods. Chakil's passion for education drives her ongoing mission to ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed academically and beyond.

Outside of her professional life, Chakil enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family, finding balance and inspiration in both personal and professional growth. Her daughters also attend school in the Bronx, deepening her connection to the community she serves.
