Sampurna Rawal, Academic Intervention Services (AIS) Coordinator

Coordinator Sampurna's journey as an educator began with the kindness of her teachers during her early years as an immigrant from India.Inspired to teach from a young age, she has 25 years of experience in NYC public schools,holding roles such as Elementary Education Teacher, Literacy Coach, and interventionist in District 9. She is a CERI-certified Structured Literacy provider and a Fulbright Scholar.

Sampurna created a mentoring program, Passion and Pride forTeaching, and has facilitated numerous literacy workshops. She enjoys family time, traveling,cooking, and volunteering.Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree in Leadership,Innovation, and Continuous Improvement at Concordia University, focusing on literacy and equity.
