Roshelle Rowe, District Achievement Instructional Specialist (DAIS) of Literacy

Roshelle Rowe is a District Achievement Instructional Specialist in ELA and Social Studies, dedicated to literacy and social justice. Born and raised in the Bronx, she believes the Bronx represents resilience, opportunity, and vitality. Roshelle has spent the last 20 years serving her community. Her journey began with the NYC Teaching Fellows, teaching Students with Disabilities in District 11. Inspired by her mother, Roshelle created environments where growth and development were expected. Her success as a teacher led her to become an Educational Administrator in 2018, enhancing literacy instruction across multiple districts.

Roshelle's core values encompass community, justice, equity, and a strong commitment to fostering students' reading skills. She believes in all students and consistently communicates high expectations. She has ensured equity for all students and built strong relationships throughout the district and the Bronx community. She encourages students to reach for their dreams and recognize their limitless potential.

Roshelle is also a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend. She brings a dedication to children and families, a desire to learn, and the joy of calling this her work. Her goal is to transform the educational system, ensuring all students receive quality educational experiences for lifelong success.
